Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 25 minutes Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
1 bag (about 10-12 ounces) of tortilla chips
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)
1 cup cooked and seasoned ground beef or turkey (optional)
1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced black olives
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup candied jalapeños
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup guacamole
1/4 cup salsa
Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Arrange the tortilla chips on a large oven-safe platter or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tortilla chips.
If you're adding meat, distribute the cooked and seasoned ground beef or turkey evenly over the cheese.
Scatter the black beans, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and diced red onion over the chips.
Place the loaded nachos in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
While the nachos are baking, prepare your toppings. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream and guacamole.
Remove the nachos from the oven and immediately top them with sliced green onions and pickled candied jalapeños.
Drizzle the salsa over the nachos.
Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves if desired.
Serve the Loaded Candied Jalapeño Nachos hot, with the sour cream and guacamole mixture on the side for dipping.
