Baked Brie with Candied Jalapeños
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 25 minutes Servings: 6-8
Ingredients:
1 wheel of Brie cheese (about 8-10 ounces)
1/2 cup candied jalapeños (homemade or store-bought)
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Crackers, baguette slices, or sliced apples for serving
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the Brie wheel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a Brie baker.
If you prefer to leave the rind on, you can. However, some people prefer to remove the top rind of the Brie for a softer texture in the center. Use a sharp knife to gently cut off the top rind.
Spread the candied jalapeños evenly over the top of the Brie.
Drizzle honey over the candied jalapeños.
If you'd like to add some crunch, sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts on top.
Place the Brie in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey in the center. Keep a close eye on it to prevent overcooking.
Remove the baked Brie from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. This will help the cheese set slightly.
Serve the baked Brie on a platter or in its baker. You can also transfer it to a small serving board or plate.
Surround the Brie with crackers, baguette slices, or sliced apples for dipping.
